Stanford’s Online High School is an accredited, diploma-offering, highly selective independent high school, offering courses for grades 7-12. The mission of Stanford Online High School (OHS) is to create a worldwide learning community of diverse, intellectually passionate students and teachers.
Stanford Online High School is also the home of Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies (SPCS), which provides a diverse array of academic enrichment programs that take place mostly in the summer but also throughout the academic year. Held both online and on-campus, SPCS programs serve intellectually curious pre-college students from around the world.
Please note that the Stanford Online High School and Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies offices are located at the Stanford Redwood City Campus, however this position is Remote. You must be located within the US.
Stanford OHS and Pre-Collegiate studies seek an energetic Customer Support Specialist temporarily. The Customer Support Specialist will communicate with prospective and enrolled families via Salesforce emails or phone calls, help maintain our admissions system (Slate), and other admission, enrollment, student support, and financial aid related tasks as assigned.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as customer service lead by managing Salesforce inbox and shared program email accounts, supporting external communications, ensuring all inquiries are responded to in a timely manner.
- Respond to routine prospective student, participant, or parent/legal guardian inquiries, take appropriate action as required, and elevate customer service concerns as necessary.
- Lead and manage small projects by establishing and executing project plans, timelines, tasks, and objectives.
- Act as key contact to advise applicants, enrolled students, and their families by responding to inquiries regarding policies, processes and procedures in accordance with Stanford Online High School and Stanford Pre-Collegiate Studies’ established messaging.

- Bachelor’s degree or combination of education and relevant experience.
- Must be able to handle confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Oral and written communication skills.
- Good reading comprehension skills.
- Good organizational skills.
- Ability to learn admission and financial aid processes and programs.
- Good interpersonal skills.
- Good presentation skills.
- Working knowledge of Slate and/or Salesforce is a plus.
The expected pay range for this position is $22.19 to $28.13 per hour not to exceed 40 hours per week. Stanford University provides pay ranges representing its good faith estimate of what the university reasonably expects to pay for a position. The pay offered to a selected candidate will be determined based on factors such as (but not limited to) the scope and responsibilities of the position, the qualifications of the selected candidate, departmental budget availability, internal equity, geographic location, and external market pay for comparable jobs.
